xAI prices Grok Imagine Video 1.5 per second of output: $0.08 at 480p, $0.14 at 720p and $0.25 at 1080p, plus $0.01 per input image, for clips of up to 15 seconds with a synced audio track. fal and OpenRouter resell it at exactly that list price.
On APIMODELS the same model is $0.0294 per second at 480p, $0.0529 at 720p and $0.0882 at 1080p, 63–65% below xAI, and input images are not charged. A 10-second 720p clip costs $0.53 here against $1.40 at list. Any whole length from 1 to 15 seconds is accepted, text-to-video and image-to-video share one model id, and output carries no watermark.
One provider is cheaper still: Kie.ai lists 1.5 image-to-video at about $0.012 and $0.0225 per second at 480p and 720p, with no 1080p. If you only need those two resolutions and image-to-video, it is the lowest number we found.
