Kling AI Motion Control API
kling-motion-controlKling Motion Control is Kuaishou's AI motion control model: give it a still image of a character and a short motion video, and it returns a new video in which that character performs the movement from the clip — a dance, a gesture, a walk, a full-body routine. Two versions are on the same endpoint. Kling 3.0 (model kling-3.0-motion-control) is the newer one and the default in our playground: $0.10 per second at 720p and $0.15 per second at 1080p, below fal.ai's Kling v3 motion control at $0.126 (standard) and $0.168 (pro) per second when we checked on 4 November 2026. Kling 2.6 (model kling-motion-control) costs $0.06 or $0.10 per second when the budget matters more. You are billed on the length of your reference video, rounded up to whole seconds and capped at 30 seconds — a 10-second clip on Kling 3.0 at 720p is $1.00 — and failed jobs are never charged. Put the character photo in input_urls (PNG or JPG, a full-body shot works best) and the motion clip in video_urls (MP4), choose mode 720p or 1080p, and set character_orientation to image (the default: the character keeps the pose and framing of your photo) or video (it follows the framing of the motion clip). It is an async task: create it, then poll or receive a callback; recent jobs took about six minutes. Limits: one character image per job, no text prompt — the motion comes entirely from the reference clip — and no more than 30 seconds of output. Not every job succeeds: a reference that cannot be downloaded, an image the model rejects or an upstream failure ends the task without a charge. Typical uses: dance and trend videos from a single photo, product or mascot animation, virtual influencers, and motion reenactment for short-form content.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does Kling Motion Control cost?
Kling Motion Control is available through APIMODELS at: 720p: $0.06, 1080p: $0.1. Billing is pay-as-you-go — you only pay for what you generate.
How to use Kling Motion Control API?
Sign up at APIMODELS, get your API key, and call our unified API endpoint. We provide detailed API documentation with code examples in cURL, Python, and Node.js.
What is the difference between APIMODELS and the official Kling API?
APIMODELS offers the same Kling Motion Control model through our aggregation platform. We provide a unified API interface so you do not need separate accounts for each provider - one API key to access all models.
What is AI motion control?
AI motion control is video generation that copies movement from one clip onto a different character. You provide a still image of the character and a reference video of someone moving — a dance, a gesture, a walk — and the model renders a new video of your character performing that motion. Kling Motion Control is Kuaishou’s model for it; on apimodels.app it runs as Kling 3.0 or Kling 2.6 through one API.
How do I use Kling 3.0 motion control through the API?
POST /v1/video/generations with model "kling-3.0-motion-control", input_urls set to your character image and video_urls set to the motion clip. Optional: mode "720p" (default) or "1080p", and character_orientation "image" (default) or "video". The response returns a taskId; poll GET /v1/video/generations?task_id=… until state is completed and read data.resultUrls[0], or pass callback_url. Use "kling-motion-control" for Kling 2.6. You can also try both versions on the model page without writing code.
How much does Kling motion control cost?
You pay for the length of the reference video, rounded up to whole seconds and capped at 30 seconds. Kling 3.0 costs $0.10/s at 720p and $0.15/s at 1080p; Kling 2.6 costs $0.06/s and $0.10/s. A 10-second clip is $1.00 on Kling 3.0 at 720p or $0.60 on Kling 2.6 at 720p. Failed jobs are not charged.
I use Kling motion control on fal.ai. What changes here?
On 4 November 2026 fal.ai listed Kling v3 motion control at $0.126 per second (standard) and $0.168 (pro); Kling 3.0 here is $0.10 at 720p and $0.15 at 1080p. The request maps one to one: fal’s image_url becomes input_urls, video_url becomes video_urls, character_orientation keeps its values, and you choose the output with mode "720p" or "1080p". There is no prompt field — the motion comes only from the reference clip.
What are the limits, and does every job succeed?
One character image per job (PNG or JPG; a full-body shot works best), one motion video (MP4), up to 30 seconds of output, and no text prompt. Jobs are async and recently took about six minutes. Not every job succeeds: if a reference cannot be downloaded, the model rejects the image or the upstream generation fails, the task ends with a failure message and nothing is charged.
How is Kling Motion Control different from DreamActor V2?
Both do motion transfer. Kling Motion Control is Kling's, focused on character motion; DreamActor V2 (ByteDance) additionally handles facial expressions, lip-sync, multi-person scenes, anime and pets. For richer expression/lip-sync, look at DreamActor V2.
How does Kling Motion Control compare to other Video Generation models?

It supports Kling 3.0 & 2.6, Image + Motion Video, 720p / 1080p, Up to 30s, and you can weigh it on price and capability against other Video Generation models, then switch by changing a single model-name string — no new account or integration.
